UNQUESTIONED ANSWERS: CULTURE EXAMINATION FOR PARENTS & POST-MILLENNIALS WITH AXIS
JUNE 7, 2014 | 9:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.
Most teens in America are inarticulate about their faith and research is showing that nearly 61% of kids who went to church during their teen years are now disengaged (Barna Group). Inundated by media, the promises of contemporary culture, and higher education, post-millennials are increasingly leaving the family ill-equipped to discern how their Christian faith shapes their worldview. Parents who desire to disciple their children in the ways of Jesus are overwhelmed by the task of contextualizing the Gospel in a compelling way that resonates amidst their children's interest in Hunger Games, Justin Bieber and the latest YouTube videos.
Join us for a five-hour media-rich workshop presented by Axis, designed to bring families together, using popular culture as a medium to evaluate wisdom, the good life and Jesus' vision for the Kingdom of God. In one afternoon, Axis leads families through an interactive program to open a new pathway for parents to dialogue with their children about faith and culture. A full boxed lunch is provided with registration. Best for parents and children ages 10 and older. Couples and youth workers welcome.
