SEPTEMBER 24, 2014 | 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M.
New York City's school system is in a state of considerable reform. With rising graduation rates, the narrowing of the racial and socioeconomic achievement gap, and an ongoing debate regarding the merits of public versus charter schools, educators are working hard to modernize for the common good of our children. For Christians working in education, the challenge is not only one of social reform but also of morality, asking how can we provide all students with access to quality education.
If you are an educator navigating the complexity of the system, join us for an open discussion amongst peers exploring the current state of education in New York City. We will share not only how our private faith is lived out in the care of our young people, but also how we can shape the future of education.
This event is also your opportunity to share with a pastor what you wish the Church understood about your unique context. Wine and cheese provided.
